Arsenal have been linked with a surprise move for Chelsea star N'Golo Kante this summer.
The Gunners could be set to take advantage of the Frenchman's current contract situation. As he has just one year left on his contract, and because he's been prone to injury over the last couple of years, Chelsea may be tempted to sell if they can get a reasonable fee.
football.london understands that talks are yet to begin over a new deal for the midfielder, and now the Daily Star reports that Arsenal are considering a move for him as Mikel Arteta looks to reinforce his squad.

Kante would undoubtedly improve Arsenal. In fact, legendary Gunners manager Arsene Wenger, who missed out on signing him before he moved to Chelsea from Leicester City, has already delivered his verdict on what a special talent Kante is. Speaking about the 31-year-old's career towards the end of last year, Wenger said, via republicworld.com: "He is something that you don't find often. He wins the ball without making any foul, and straight away, he moves that ball forward."
However, judging by Thomas Tuchel's words, the German will be desperate to keep hold of him. He said: "I think he [Kante] is our key, key, key player; but key, key, key players need to be on the pitch. He plays only 40 per cent of the games. So it's maybe a miracle that we arrived in third place.
"Because he is our Mo Salah, he is our Van Dijk, he is our De Bruyne, he is simply that player. He is our Neymar, he is our Kylian Mbappe; he is the guy who makes the difference."
It'll ultimately be a huge surprise if a deal is eventually agreed, but stranger things have happened.
