Arsenal have reached the Champions League quarter-final in successive seasons following a 9-3 aggregate win over PSV Eindhoven. With the Gunners 7-1 up following last week’s ruthless performance in Eindhoven, it made the second leg somewhat academic as PSV required a miracle and an unlikely collapse from the Gunners to advance.
Mikel Arteta demanded professionalism from his players and despite the 2-2 draw on the night, he will have been happy with some individual performances as Oleksandr Zinchenko and Raheem Sterling both impressed, while Ben White got some important minutes under his belt on his first start in four months.
PSV required a minor miracle to advance, but in truth, they gave better account for themselves after what happened in Eindhoven and will take heart from drawing the second leg as Couhaib Driouech scored arguably the goal of the tie. Follow the game back below with our dedicated match blog, with expert analysis from Simon Collings at the Emirates Stadium.

Handed his first start for Arsenal in midfield and opened the scoring within the opening six minutes. Could be an option for Arsenal there until the end of the season.

Captain for the night in the absence of Martin Odegaard. Caught in possession for PSV’s second goal and Arsenal were punished.

However, Kiwior brings down Perisic and is shown a yellow card. That looked a little harsh.
Standard Sport's Simon Collings at the Emirates Stadium
20:40 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneThat is exactly what Arsenal are going to need from Rice in the final part of the season. Without a true No9, they need goals and runners from midfield.

20:35 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneArteta used the break in play there to have a mini huddle with Jorginho, Sterling and Zinchenko. The Arsenal manager not fully happy with how this has gone so far.
Arsenal 1-1 PSV (agg 8-2)

Lovely touch from Zinchenko in plucking the ball out of the air, he looks to find Merino in behind but the Spaniard doesn’t make the required run.
Standard Sport's Simon Collings at the Emirates Stadium
20:13 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneYou would not know PSV are 8-1 down on aggregate. The away end is, quite literally, bouncing.
Arsenal 1-0 PSV (agg 8-1)
20:11 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne10 min: Credit to the PSV supporters, still making loads of noise inside the Emirates despite their side being 8-1 down on aggregate.

Standard Sport's Simon Collings at the Emirates Stadium
19:59 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneA few empty seats in the upper tier here, but largely full. Arsenal under pressure to put on a show for those who have stumped up to pay for big ticket prices.
Permutations
19:58 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneArsenal will advance to the Champions League quarter-final as long as they avoid defeat by a seven-goal margin.
Remember away goals are no longer a thing in European competition, so if PSV, for example, are leading by six clear goals after 90 minutes, we will have extra-time and possibly penalties.
Here we go!
19:56 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneThe players have emerged from the tunnel area at the Emirates Stadium and out onto the pitch.

Champions League quarter-finalists
19:40 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneBorussia Dortmund have just beaten Lille to book their Champions League quarter-final place alongside Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Inter.
Three more spots up for grabs!
Zinchenko regret?
19:35 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneOleksandr Zinchenko was at the heart of Arsenal’s title charge in 2022-23 and twice that year he won Arsenal’s Player of the Month award.
Now, though, he looks like he may have his Arsenal swansong in another position.
Zinchenko’s last three appearances have come in midfield and that is where he gets the nod for tonight’s Champions League clash against PSV Eindhoven.
Arsenal are 7-1 up from last week’s first leg and, as such, Arteta is expected to rotate given a place in the quarter-finals is so wrapped up that it just needs a bow on it.

Saliba drops hint over Arsenal future
19:30 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneWilliam Saliba says he is “really happy” at Arsenal and has set his sights on winning trophies at the club.
Saliba will have two years left on his contract at the end of this season and has been linked with a move to Real Madrid.
The defender has confirmed no talks over a new deal with Arsenal have taken place yet, but he is relaxed about the situation.
Saliba wants to stay at Arsenal and cement his legacy there by helping the club win major trophies.

PSV away form
19:25 , Tashan Deniran-AlleynePSV already have a huge mountain to climb tonight and their results away from home in the Champions League so far this season suggests a comeback is not on the cards.
Five games on the road has yielded three losses, and their sole win over Red Star Belgrade was by a one-goal margin which wouldn't be enough to overturn a 7-1 first leg deficit against Arsenal.
Arteta excited for Champions League trophy chance
19:20 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneMikel Arteta has “full belief” Arsenal can compete with them and any other sides still in the Champions League.
“We have done a lot and probably the most exciting part is coming up right now,” he said.
“And we have to make sure that’s why tomorrow that we finish the job in the way that we want to do, to put ourselves in a great position to go again.
“We have been extremely consistent in the competition. We have been very, very good and now we have continue."

Interesting PSV team selection
19:15 , Tashan Deniran-AlleynePSV Eindhoven have made five changes to the side that started their 2-1 Eredivisie win over Heerenveen last weekend.
It's interesting that Luuk de Jong and Noa Lang are both among the substitutes. But Johan Bakayoko does start and his battle up against Myles Lewis-Skelly will be interesting.

Sterling starts
19:10 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneSEVEN changes in total for Arsenal tonight as Raheem Sterling gets his opportunity. Looks like the winger is part of a front three that includes Kieran Tierney and Mikel Merino.
Jorginho, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Jakub Kiwior and Ben White also start.

Bosz wants a reaction
18:25 , Tashan Deniran-AlleynePSV Eindhoven boss Peter Bosz finds himself in an awkward position ahead of kick-off. After last week's 7-1 loss, the chances of his side reaching the quarter-final are highly unlikely.
However, the Dutchman has challenged his players to show a better account of themselves in north London.
"I think everyone who was on the field last week doesn't want to go through what happened there again," he told reporters yesterday. "We want to show that we are better than that. You're playing against a top club in a great stadium.
"Everyone who started playing football as a little boy dreams of being here in the [UEFA] Champions League. We are very motivated to make it a real game."

Champions League stats
18:20 , Tashan Deniran-Alleyne- Arsenal’s 7-1 victory in the first leg against PSV was the biggest ever away win in the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League.
- The only English team to score 10 goals across two legs in the competition was Man City vs Schalke 04 in 2018-19’s last 16 (10-2 on aggregate).

Predicted Arsenal XI
18:15 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneJakub Kiwior and Kieran Tierney are options to come into the Arsenal defence tonight, thus allowing for Gabriel Magalhaes and Riccardo Calafiori to earn a rest ahead of the Chelsea game this weekend.
Jorginho and Oleksandr Zinchenko are possible solutions in midfield if Arteta opts to give Thomas Partey and Declan Rice the night off.
Arsenal predicted XI (4-3-3): Raya; White, Saliba, Kiwior, Tierney; Odegaard, Jorginho, Zinchenko; Martinelli, Trossard, Sterling

White ready to start
18:05 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneBen White is ready to make his first start since November when Arsenal host PSV Eindhoven tonight.
White underwent knee surgery in November and he was out of action until February 22, when he came off the bench against West Ham.
The 27-year-old has made two more substitute appearances since then for a total of 18 minutes and he is now ready to start.
“I think we have to manage him very well because he was still having some issues to manage in terms of the load,” said Mikel Arteta.
“And were very cautious of that to make sure that when he comes back, he can now maintain that level, and there’s no more setbacks. But I think he’s in a good position now to give him a start.”

Arsenal vs PSV prediction
17:50 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneIt’s hard to see PSV being as poor as they were in the first leg. Whilst the tie is ultimately beyond them, they have nothing to lose and will surely be out to give a better account of themselves.
If they sit deep and look to frustrate Arsenal, it could work in their favour as the Gunners have struggled against deep blocks in recent weeks.
However, Arteta’s side seem to save their best attacking performances for the Champions League and whatever team he selects should have enough to claim victory, though another big scoreline seems unlikely.
Arsenal to win 2-0
PSV team news
17:45 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneRicardo Pepi and Malik Tillman remain sidelined with major knee and ankle injuries respectively, Lucas Perez is not able to feature against Arsenal due to not being registered for the Champions League.
Arsenal team news: Sterling to start?
17:40 , Tashan Deniran-AlleyneArsenal could hand Raheem Sterling a rare start tonight.
The winger has struggled for chances since joining Arsenal on loan from Chelsea last summer and was an unused substitute during the 1-1 draw against Manchester United at the weekend.
However, Sterling may come into the team as Mikel Arteta is expected to make changes. Gabriel Martinelli is also in line to start as he continues his comeback from a hamstring injury.
