Arsenal have delayed Liverpool's inevitable Premier League title party after being held to a 2-2 draw at home by Crystal Palace. The Gunners knew that a loss tonight will have confirmed Arne Slot's side crowned champions of England once again, but let leads slip twice at the Emirates Stadium and now have a battle on their hands to seal a top-two finish.
With a Champions League semi-final first leg showdown at home to Paris Saint-German on the horizon, Mikel Arteta's team selection was an interesting point of discussion as Jurrien Timber and Myles Lewis-Skelly both started but Bukayo Saka was only fit enough for the bench.
This fixture had been brought forward due to Palace's involvement in the FA Cup semi-final at the weekend, and fans were treated to some stunning goals, in particular from Eberechi Eze and Jean-Philippe Mateta as both teams warmed up for their respective fixtures by appearing to avoid any serious injuries. Arsenal vs Crystal Palace had already been picked as a televised match on Sky Sports by the time it had to be rescheduled.
