Arsenal vs Crystal Palace F.C. Stats Ahead of Carabao Cup tie

It will be Arsenal vs Crystal Palace F.C. in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, so we have taken a look at some key stats going into the clash.

Arsenal vs Crystal Palace F.C. Stats Ahead Of Wednesday’s 7.30pm League Cup Clash

Arsenal and Crystal Palace F.C. will go head-to-head at the Emirates on Wednesday night with a place in the Carabao Cup semi-final on the line.

The League Cup has long eluded the Gunners who have not won the trophy since 1993. They have also lost more League Cup finals (6) than any other team.

Crystal Palace meanwhile are looking to reach the last-four for the first time since the 2011-12 season where they lost on penalties to Cardiff City.

Arsenal have a good record against Crystal Palace and Mikel Arteta would love a repeat of the 5-0 triumph his side enjoyed at the Emirates last season.

Arsenal Expected To Reach Semi-Finals

At the time of writing with odds subject to change, Arsenal are heavy favourites with the best football betting sites in the UK to reach the last-four of the Carabao Cup.

Arsenal are currently at odds of 21/50 to pick up the victory at full-time, with a Crystal Palace win at 13/2 and a draw at 7/2.

Ahead of Arsenal vs Crystal Palace F.C. the stats also lean in the favour of the home side going off recent fixtures.

Arsenal Score FIVE In Last Meeting With Crystal Palace

Mikel Arteta’s side had a day to remember when Arsenal last played Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium back in January.

Defender Gabriel scored twice before Leandro Trossard gave the Gunners a 3-0 lead. Crystal Palace fell apart in stoppage time as Gabriel Martinelli then added two late goals.

Roy Hodgson stepped down as Crystal Palace manager a month later, with this to be Oliver Glasner’s first clash against Arsenal as Eagles manager.

That will be followed by another meeting between the two sides in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Gabriel Martinelli’s Impressive Record Against Palace

Gabriel Martinelli’s attacking output has come under some scrutiny recently but he has an impressive record against Crystal Palace.

He has five goals in eight games against the Eagles – four in the last four games.

Only three players in this fixture’s history – John Radford (8), Alan Smith (6) and Paul Merson (6) – have scored more goals than Martinelli.

Martinelli has just four goals and two assists in 22 appearances across all competitions this season, but don’t be surprised to see him on the scoresheet if he starts on Wednesday night.
