Arsenal kick off their EFL Cup campaign with a home tie with Brighton & Hove Albion with many expecting Mikel Arteta to rotate his squad ahead of the match as they look to finish their last Premier League match this weekend on a high and maintain their top spot position.
The Gunners are the favourites going into this Carabao Cup tie at 8/11 with Betfred while Brighton are 19/5 and a draw is 3/1. The hosts have not won the competition since 1993 but have made three final and six semi-final appearances since the last time they lifted the trophy.
Meanwhile, visitors Brighton have not gone beyond the quarter-finals of the competition - which happened back in 1979. However, they are finally showing some winning momentum under new head coach Roberto De Zerbi who might be keen to give his side a solid cup run.
