Arsenal vs AC Milan team news

Eddie Nketiah scored against Lyon and is expected to lead the line again, with the Gunners keen for him to hit top form now Gabriel Jesus is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Martin Odegaard should captain the side, with Fabio Vieira also involved after his stunning strike against the Ligue 1 outfit. Oleksandr Zinchenko is a slight doubt after being left out of the squad for that match, so Kieran Tierney may keep his place.

Marquinhos could come into the side after his bright cameo off the bench, with Reiss Nelson the most likely to miss out should that happen. Granit Xhaka is in Dubai after flying straight there from Qatar - it remains to be seen whether he comes in or is giving a slightly longer rest.

Divock Origi, Fikayo Tomori and Sandro Tonali are among those in the Milan squad for the Dubai Super Cup.

Arsenal have the advantage of this being their second match, so they can be expected to be the sharper of the two sides.

The Gunners looked impressive against Lyon and if it’s another strong lineup named, then a similar result looks likely.

A 3-1 win for Arsenal.
