Arsenal are using the World Cup break to begin work on replacing artwork around Emirates Stadium.
The exterior of the stadium has previously had images of former Arsenal players wrapped around it, but yesterday work began to remove and replace them.
Arsenal have held focus groups with fans over the new designs and the plan is for eight new pieces of artwork to go up, which will celebrate moments from the club’s history.
The final designs are yet to be approved, but work should be completed by the new year.

Until then, the outside of Emirates Stadium will look slightly barer than usual as the old artwork is removed in preparation for the new pieces of artwork to go up.
The work is part of wider upgrades and refurbishments that have been happening at Emirates Stadium over the past year.
Arsenal are conscious the stadium was opened in 2006 and have been looking to work on areas that need addressing.
New screens were installed during the summer, while the club are undertaking work on the stadium’s roof, which is prone to leak in certain parts.
