Arsenal have been urged to sign Ruben Neves, with the Wolves midfield maestro suggested as the ideal partner for Thomas Partey.
Morale around the red half of North London is currently high with Arsenal sitting in the Premier League's much-coveted fourth spot, one point ahead of nearest rivals Manchester United who have played three games more.
Mikel Arteta will know as well as anyone that should Arsenal hold their nerve and secure Champions League qualification, they will be able to attract a higher calibre of player in the summer.
A new striker is likely to be the most pressing position to address given the recent departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, while current striking duo Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are both out of contract come the end of the season.
But former Gunners striker Jérémie Aliadière has suggested that Mikel Arteta should look to replace Granit Xhaka with the Wolves star ahead of next season.

Aliadière has insisted the Spaniard should look no further than the Molineux for his next addition.
Speaking to BonusCodeBets, the Frenchman explained: "I think (Ruben) Neves would be a great addition. I think he's a top player.
"You need somebody that's going to get the ball and bring it forward, and get more involved in the team play in the final third. That's why I think Ruben Neves would be brilliant.
"Obviously he's got that shot from outside the box as well, which is something I think Arsenal is lacking."
One stumbling block that Arsenal may encounter if they are to pursue Neves is Wolves' high asking price.
Despite Wanderers offering him around last summer after a difficult 2020-21 campaign - indeed agents on Wolves' behalf contacted Arsenal over a potential switch - the Portugal international has shone for Bruno Lage's side this term, and would likely cost in excess of £45million.
Aliadière feels that the 24-year-old is worth the money.
"I know he might cost a bit more, because he plays in the Premier League, I just personally think that Neves would be great.
"Arsenal already have Partey in there, and getting a player in a similar play style, I don't think we need that. I think Neves offers something different."
A move to the Emirates could see Neves greeted with a somewhat frosty reception however, after his recent comments on Arsenal's celebrations following the Gunners' 1-0 win at Molineux recently made him Public Enemy No.1 with Arsenal supporters on social media.
Neves said post-game: "We saw the way they celebrated the win and that shows the level we are.
"I didn't see Arsenal celebrating like this in the past 10 years - it was like they won the league."
