Arsenal can move on from their Mykhailo Mudryk disappointment by bidding for Raphinha and Youri Tielemans, according to Ray Parlour.
Barcelona reportedly want £89million for Brazilian winger Raphinha - roughly the same fee Chelsea paid for Mudryk - but former midfielder Parlour believes a loan deal may be plausible given his lack of form.
“I think they have their sights set on Raphinha now, he has struggled in Barcelona but everyone knows what he did for Leeds in the Premier League, so that might be a good option,” he told the Lord Ping website.
“January is not the ideal place to buy quality players because a lot of them are under contract, but they can get someone on loan or they can get a permanent deal.”
Tielemans is out of contract in the summer and could be swayed by a January offer from the Premier League leaders.
Parlour says the Belgian would provide vital cover to Thomas Partey’s deep-lying midfield role, with the squad fragile to the Ghanaian getting injured.
He noted: “With Tielemans, he doesn’t have long left in his contract.
“So Arsenal can put a little cheeky bid in. But at the same time, Leicester has their own problems fighting a relegation battle, and does not want to go down because they lost their best players.”
