Arsenal have been urged to sign Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante this summer by former striker Kevin Campbell. It comes after the Gunners have been linked with a move for the Frenchman.
The 31-year-old has been a pivotal part of the midfield for the Blues since joining from Leicester City, winning a Premier League, Champions League, Europa League and FA Cup. Despite his importance, Kante only has one-year remaining on his deal, creating potential doubt over his future.
It's led to manager Thomas Tuchel calling for his contract situation to be dealt with along with Jorginho. He said earlier this year: "Nobody wants that with big players and important players nowadays.

"It's a wish as a coach that we solve this in the summer in any way, that we solve it and it's clear where the journey is and what the decision is. Yes, this is the wish."
football.london understands talks are yet to be held with the pair over new deals, with new signings the current priority. That could lead to a potential exit, with former Arsenal striker Campbell calling for the Gunners to sign Kante if the finances are right.
He told Football Insider: "For me, if the money was right – I’d do it straight away. He’s someone who knows how to operate in the Premier League, that’s for sure. Yes, he suffered a few injuries last season, but his numbers are still frightening.
“He’s still one of the best around, and that midfield area is still a massive problem area for Arsenal. We’ve seen them play games where the midfield just can’t get a grip – especially when Thomas Partey isn’t there.
“We need someone else who knows how to navigate and dominate. I don’t think there has been a better exponent of that midfield engine room in recent years than N’Golo Kante.”
It remains to be seen whether that move would be possible and there may be reservations due to his injury concerns over the past season. However, he could be an important addition to the squad as Arteta looks to build his side up once again.
