Arsenal unveil striking new 2022/23 home kit to be worn against Everton on final day

Arsenal have released their home kit for the 2022/23 season which will be worn for the first time as they face Everton on the final day of the current Premier League campaign.

The Adidas -made shirt is in the club’s traditional bright shade of red and features white trim with an eye-catching lightning bolt design on the collar. It will be worn with white shorts and socks and will have its debut as the Gunners welcome the Toffees to the Emirates on Sunday afternoon.

In a charitable gesture, Arsenal have pledged to give £5 to their foundation - which supports local community initiatives - for every home shirt bought via the club between 19 May and 5 August. This will help local projects including Finsbury Park Bowls Club, Islington Boxing Club, Tufnell Park Primary School, Maha Devi Yoga Centre, New North Academy Fencing Club and North London United, a community based sport project for young people with Down Syndrome.

Freddie Hudson, Head of Arsenal in the Community, said: “We’re extremely proud of the work we’ve been doing to bring our community together and support the lives of people in our local area for more than 35 years. People are the heartbeat of our community and the £5 donation from our home shirt sales will provide vital support for the local projects that serve our diverse community in north London so well.

“The last couple of years have been especially tough and the impact continues to be felt, but it’s amazing what we can achieve when we all come together to support each other. We continue to draw inspiration from those who make the Arsenal family so special, and we’re thrilled to be able to give a little back in this unique way.”

Arsenal signed a five-year deal with Adidas ahead of the 2019/20 season to make the German sportswear giant their new kit manufacturer, replacing Puma. The agreement is believed to be worth £60million per season.

The Emirates faithful now await the release of the club’s away and third kits for the upcoming campaign. This season’s change strips have been pale yellow and dark blue but a change of colourway is expected for the 2022/23 term.

Leaked images suggest the away kit will be black with gold trim and the third kit will be pink with black trim, marking a significant change from the Arsenal shirts of recent years. The new home kit is available to buy directly from Arsenal's website or the The Armoury, the club’s flagship shop outside the Emirates.
