Arsenal youngster Miguel Azeez has dropped a major team news hint ahead of the Gunners clash against Aston Villa.
Mikel Arteta is facing a selection headache ahead of kick-off this evening with both Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny set to miss out. Partey suffered a thigh injury during training, whilst Elneny picked up a hamstring issue in the win against Fulham and is set to miss a number of games for the Gunners.
Arsenal have just 48 hours left to act in the summer transfer window with a central midfielder and winger thought to be the club's priority areas to reinforce before the deadline. Whilst technical director Edu searches for solutions off the pitch, Arteta looks ready to involve Azeez in the matchday squad against Villa as the Spaniard turns to the club's young talents as emergency cover.

Arsenal have loaned out a number of young talents in order to aid their development over the course of the 2022/23 season, including Charlie Patino who made a strong start on loan at Blackpool before suffering an ankle injury. With Partey and Elneny out, it leaves Granit Xhaka, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Ainsley Maitland-Niles are the only recognised senior midfielders.
Lokonga was linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium this summer but opted to stay and fight for his place in Arteta's team instead, whilst Maitland-Niles could still leave the club on deadline day. Youri Tielemans, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Julian Weigl have all been rumoured to be on Arsenal's shortlist for midfielders ahead the transfer window closing, but there is no sign of a deal being imminent for any player at present.
The Gunners are set for another huge test against Steven Gerrard's side tonight as Arteta's side look to maintain their 100% record and make it five wins from five heading into a busy month of September. Judging by the players involved in first-team training ahead of the Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium, Azeez is one player that looks set to feature in Arteta's matchday squad.
Azeez posted a picture of him taking part in first-team training ahead of the game against Villa with a simple caption of '...' leading many to believe he will be involved in some capacity. The talented youngster plays in central midfield and would likely provide cover from the substitutes bench if required, with the likelihood being that Lokonga, Maitland-Niles or even Oleksandr Zinchenko start alongside Xhaka in midfield.
