RB Leipzig are set to walk away from any potential deal to sign Arsenal youngster Folarin Balogun, according to Sky Sports transfer guru Philipp Hinze.
Balogun has enjoyed a stellar season on loan at Ligue 1 outfit Reims, netting 18 league goals - a tally that reads even more impressive when you consider that he is still just 21-years-old. That kind of form has seen him linked with a number of clubs across Europe, with the player himself said to be keen to leave the Gunners permanently in the summer if he isn't likely to get considerable game time in north London.
Now, the aforementioned Hinze has reported that the New York-born striker is unlikely to be heading to RB Leipzig because Arsenal value him at around £35million, a price that the Bundesliga side deem as excessive.

It remains to be seen whether or not Balogun's future lies at the Emirates Stadium or not, and the Hale End academy graduate was as coy as ever when football.london asked him about his future last month. "I haven’t thought that far if I’m honest," he replied when asked about transfer speculation.
"I've just thought about this season. What I’ve been able to do so far, I’m sure it’s making a lot of noise - not just at Arsenal but everywhere. It’s just about continuing that, staying focused and helping the team achieve their maximum potential for this season. That’s as far as I’ve thought."
