Arsenal made a positive start to the summer after signing Marquinhos, Fabio Vieira, Matt Turner and Gabriel Jesus within the first month of the transfer window being open, but more incomings are still expected before their season gets underway on August 5.
According to the latest reports, the Gunners are back in for Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans and talks have now “ramped up” as they look to get a deal over the line, while the north Londoners are also said to be interested in Aston Villa’s Carney Chukwuemeka. Elsewhere, Juventus have made a staggering cash-plus-player offer for one of the club’s defenders.

Talks “ramp up” for Tielemans
In what has been a very back-and-forth situation over the course of the summer, Arsenal are now said to be back in for Leicester’s Youri Tielemans as they look to add more quality to their midfield despite already having plenty of depth in the area and having signed Vieira from Porto.
And according to talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook, via Give Me Sport, “talks have ramped up” between the two clubs and Tielemans over a deal that would bring him to the Emirates Stadium this month, with the Foxes keen to agree a fee for the Belgian before his contract expires next summer.
The Gunners are expected to make a bid to Brendan Rodgers’ side for the midfielder, but so far nothing concrete has been laid on the table. Arsenal are believed to have the upper hand over other potential suitors such as Manchester United, with Tielemans said to prefer a move to north London.

Juventus make cash-plus-player ‘offer’
Arsenal defender Gabriel Maghaeles has been linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium this summer and it has been reported that Juventus are supposedly keen on bringing the Brazilian to Turin, following an impressive campaign for the Gunners.
And the Italian outfit are now looking to take action, with reports stating that they are set to offer Arsenal a huge deal that involves cash-plus-two-players, as they look to make their best attempts at sealing a deal for the centre back.
According to Italian outlet CalcioMercatoWeb, the Serie A giants are preparing to offer the Gunners £25 million, plus midfielder Adrien Rabiot on a permanent deal and playmaker Arthur Melo on loan. This rather substantial offer would quickly solve Arteta’s midfield demands, as he aims to add to that area of the pitch.
Arsenal join queue for Aston Villa youngster
While Arsenal remain in the hunt for another midfielder this summer to add extra experience and quality to the side, they are also eyeing up one’s for the future, or so it seems the case following reports that the Gunners are interested in signing Aston Villa midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka.
That’s according to a report from 90min, who state that Arsenal are prepared to get involved in the tussle for his signature, with a number of top flight clubs also interested in securing his services after it was revealed that he has stalled in accepting Villa’s new contract offer to remain with the club.
Chukwuemeka made his first team debut at the end of the 2020-21 season, before going on to make 14 appearances in all competitions for Steven Gerrard’s side this season, in which the 18-year-old has heavily impressed with his performances.
