Arsenal transfer round-up: Gabriel Jesus talks to begin, Paulo Dybala makes contract decision

Strikers are the priority for Arsenal this summer with the transfer market about to open.

Alexandre Lacazette’s exit and uncertainty over Eddie Nketiah’s future has led to a number of options being targeted, from Paulo Dybala to Gabriel Jesus.

Gianluca Scamacca is another forward of interest to the Gunners amid contrasting reports over the club’s success in pursuing the Sassuolo star.

In midfield, Mikel Arteta is keen to bring in Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City as he eyes converting the Ukrainian from his typical position in defence.

Here is all the latest transfer gossip out of north London...

Paulo Dybala

The latest out of Italy concerning the out-of-contract striker comes courtesy of Corriere dello Sport.

Arsenal and Tottenham are said to have offered Dybala the chance to play in England yet his representatives are said to be less than enthusiastic about the move.

A weekly wage of £90,000-a-week, plus bonuses, is reportedly on the table from Inter Milan, who remain frontrunners for the Argentine’s signature amid interest from Roma.

The Manchester City striker will begin to hold talks over his future imminently.

Standard Sport’s Simon Collings writes that Jesus’ attention will turn to the transfer market after Brazil’s friendly with Japan, which finished 1-0 to the South American side earlier on Monday.

From Tuesday, he is expected to seek talks with City over his role at the club ahead of his contract expiring in 12 months’ time and Arsenal join Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Tottenham in chasing his services.

Gianluca Scamacca

Arsenal have reportedly launched a £30million offer for Italian striker Scamacca.

However, Sassuolo chief Giovanni Carnevali has insisted that no formal bid has landed for the 23-year-old at this moment.

“There’s nothing concrete yet for Scamacca, just some contacts with some clubs”, Carnevali told Sky Sport Italia. “Of course, after playing with the national team the interest is now growing.”

Standard Sport’s Simon Collings and Malik Ouzia have today detailed interest in the Ukrainian star from both Arsenal and West Ham.

Mikel Arteta sees the Manchester City man more as a midfielder than his typical deployment at left-back with the Premier League champions, although that is an area the Gunners are also interested in reinforcing.

Zinchenko had put any talks over his future on hold, until his country’s World Cup fate was decided.
