Arsenal transfer news: Mikel Arteta gets Declan Rice confirmation amid £75m Moises Caicedo plan

Your Arsenal transfer round-up on Friday, June 9.

Declan Rice exit 'confirmed'

West Ham chairman David Sullivan has confirmed that Declan Rice "has to" have played his last game for the club ahead of the summer transfer window. The 24-year-old continues to be linked with a move away from the Hammers, with two-years remaining on his contract.

Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: "I think it has to be [Rice's final game for West Ham]. We promised him he could go. He set his heart on going.

"You can’t ask for a man who has committed more to us this season. In due course, he has to get on and we have to get a replacement – or several replacements.

"It’s not something we want to happen. We offered him £200,000-a-week 18 months ago. He turned it down. It’s cost him £10million to stay at West Ham in that time (in lost wages). And he wants to go. You can’t keep a player who doesn’t want to be there."

Fresh Moises Caicedo proposal

Arsenal are preparing a formal offer to try and sign Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo in the summer transfer window, according to a new report.

The Gunners submitted a £70million bid in January but saw that offer rebuffed, however they are now ready to return with an improved proposal. According to London World, a £75million package deal is being put together to submit while the Gunners also pursue Declan Rice.

They also note that Brighton were adamant Caicedo wasn’t for sale back in the winter but are now open to negotiations after making a promise to the player which could mean this offer is accepted, or at least closer to their asking price.

Jorginho's role in fulfilling two-year Arsenal transfer mission

Jorginho could play a key role in Mikel Arteta finally being able to complete a transfer for Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to join Arsenal

According to La Lazio Siamo Noi (via Sport Witness), Maurizio Sarri wants a reunion at Lazio with his old midfielder and has asked the Italian club’s president Claudio Lotito to sign the Arsenal midfielder.

To potentially give everyone what they want, the Gunners could propose a swap deal for Jorginho to return to Italy and Milinkovic-Savic move to north London.
