Third Arsenal bid incoming
Arsenal will submit a third offer closer to West Ham's valuation of Declan Rice, according to reports. According to the Daily Mail, West Ham 'believe' an offer from City is imminent, leaving the Gunners with a race against time to make their own offer. The same report claims Arsenal will return with a third offer and will place a bid on the table closer to the Hammers' demands.
The Daily Mail also claims the Gunners boss believes Rice will one day be his captain at the Emirates Stadium, though there are no plans to do so immediately with Martin Odegaard impressing in the role last season.
Man City 'confidence'
Manchester City are 'confident' that they can reach an agreement with West Ham for Rice, according to Sky Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio. The journalist wrote on Twitter: "The arrival of #Rice is approaching for @ManCity: confidence for the definitive agreement with @WestHam."
Timber sparks frenzy
Arsenal transfer target Jurrien Timber sparked excitement amongst the Arsenal fanbase following his activity on social media. Early on Thursday morning, the Ajax star asked his 39.5k followers for suggestions for a new television series on Twitter.
In the replies, hundreds of Arsenal supporters took the opportunity to ask him to join the club. Later on, Timber simply tweeted 'Thanks' before swiftly deleting the tweet after another bombardment from supporters.
