With the contract situation surrounding Alexandre Lacazette this summer, Arsenal are rumoured to be looking at the potential of signing two strikers to be part of Mikel Arteta's squad going forward.
Benfica's Darwin Nunez has been linked, having failed to secure a move to the Premier League in January, with West Ham unable to complete a £50 million move for the Uruguayan. Also linked is Lille's Jonathan David along with Alexander Isak, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Patrik Schick as the Gunners look to fill the void left by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
However, with Arsenal currently the favourites to finish fourth after an exciting start to 2022, they could be setting their sights on some of the biggest names in Europe if European football returns to the Emirates. We take a look at the latest news on moves for Robert Lewandowski, Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe.

Robert Lewandowski
The Polish striker is surprisingly in the market for a move away from Bayern Munich this summer, having spent nine trophy laden years with the Bavarian giants. As reported by FourFourTwo, Arteta is looking at the 33-year-old Pole as a potential option in his search for a world class striker in the next transfer window.
However, the Gunners will have to compete with the might of Spanish giants Barcelona, who are resurgent under former player Xavi. Sport are reporting that the Poland international has offered his services to the Catalan club, with talks beginning in January meaning that the Gunners will need to act fast to make a move for the number nine.
Erling Haaland
Another world class striker Erling Haaland, whom Arsenal fans have been clamouring for in recent months due to the Borussia Dortmund striker's £65 million release clause and his prolific scoring record. He would also link up with Martin Odegaard with whom he shares a close relationship having spent time in the Norweigan national team together.
However, this is a move which looks unlikely due to the reported interest in the former Red Bull Salzburg striker from some of the elite clubs in Europe. This has been confirmed as an unlikely move by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, who has said on his Here We Go podcast: "I see some Arsenal fans asking about Erling Haaland but guys, no. Erling Haaland is not a realistic possibility for this summer for Arsenal. But they are exploring the market for many strikers."
Kylian Mbappe
One of the biggest names in the game is on his way out of PSG this summer with his contract up and a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid looming. However, there may still be some hope for Arsenal fans with the 23-year-old's next move yet to be confirmed, Barcelona have also shown an interest according to Goal but the Catalans appear to be resigned to losing out on the transfer.
The striker laughed off a move to Tottenham when asked by Spiderman star Tom Holland earlier this year, but previously spoke to the Gunners when Asene Wenger was in charge back in 2017. He explained how close a move to the Emirates was, describing Arsenal as 'a real option': "I met with Arsene Wenger, who is a great coach. He has a great reputation here in France, he's well-respected and knows how to develop young players. This was a real option for me," he admitted.
"I dream of being managed by Arsene Wenger. He is French, he's had a great career and now he is free because he has left Arsenal. We weighed up the advantages and disadvantages of all the clubs but my family told me it had to be my decision and one I needed to make."
