Here is your Arsenal transfer roundup on Tuesday, January 3.
Arsenal's second Mudryk bid
According to GOAL, Arsenal have made an improved offer for Mudryk as they step up their attempts to land their priority January transfer target. Shakhtar are reportedly considering Arsenal's second offer, despite it still being way off their very public valuation of over £86million.
With the Gunners projected to finish at least in a Champions League qualification spot next season, it is important that depth is added to the forward areas. Mudryk would certainly be an excellent acquisition and Arsenal are already putting themselves in a great position to secure a deal, if reports are accurate.

French news outlet Foot Mercato also reported on New Year's Day that Arsenal submitted an improved offer for Mykhaylo Mudryk and a contract with the player has already been agreed.
AC Milan target Balogun
According to Italian news outlet Calciomercato, Folarin Balogun may leave the Gunners at the end of the season. AC Milan are reportedly one of the clubs interested in securing his services.
The Englishman started the first Premier League game for Arsenal last season against Brentford, which was the moment it seemed he had finally broken through into the Arsenal squad. However, he was unable to make another start and was eventually loaned out to Middlesbrough.
Balogun has impressed in the French top division since making a season-long loan switch to Reims in the summer transfer window. His impressive goal return has proven this, with 10 goals already scored in the league so far.
Edu repeats Martinelli transfer trick
Arsenal have been following Montpellier striker Elye Wahi for several months now and intensified their interest recently according to various reports. At the age of just 20, the striker has already scored seven goals this season.
His impressive statistic also ranks him in fourth place for most goal involvements compared to any other youngster in Europe last year. Saka leads the list with 20 goals contributed, meanwhile, Martinelli makes the top five list having been involved in 14 goals throughout 2022.
Despite Jesus’ arrival, Edu still needs to add more firepower to Arteta’s options in the upcoming transfer windows. Nketiah and Jesus will need more goal support throughout the season from different areas of the pitch.
