Arsenal transfer news: Gunners face fight over Ayden Heaven as Borussia Dortmund target deal

Arsenal youngster Ayden Heaven is attracting transfer interest from Borussia Dortmund.

The 17-year-old has impressed for the Gunners’ youth teams and travelled with the first-team squad for the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie at Porto last season.

Heaven is currently a scholar at Arsenal and is yet to sign professional terms with the club.

Dortmund are one of those clubs tracking the teenager, however Arsenal would like him to stay put.

Heaven operates best in central midfield, but he has also been training at centre-back and at left-back over the past year.

He has been scouted by Premier League clubs while playing for Arsenal’s youth teams.

Heaven was a big Arsenal fan growing up, but joined West Ham when he was eight and spent four years there.

He was let go at the age of 12 and spent a few months with Chelsea on trial.

The Blues did not keep Heaven on and he elected to join Arsenal after also attracting interest from Fulham.

He was part of the Gunners’ scholarship intake in 2023, which also included young stars Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly.
