Arsenal transfer news: Erling Haaland agrees Gabriel Jesus boost and Ruben Neves warning

Arsenal continue to be linked with a move for Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus. football.london understands that Gabriel Jesus and Roma frontman Tammy Abraham are among the shortlisted players who could arrive at Emirates Stadium to boost Mikel Arteta's attacking options.

It looks as if Jesus is likely to be on the move this summer amid reports from the Mail that City are expected to trigger Erling Haaland's £63million release clause. The report claims personal terms have been agreed with the Norwegian striker set to earn £500,000 a week.

Elsewhere, Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves has been linked to the Gunners in recent months, following reports that the Gunners are in the market for a new central midfielder. The 25-year-old has been playing in England for the last five years following a transfer from Porto to Wolves in 2017.

The defensive midfielder is known for his passing range from deep as well as his set-piece delivery and long-range shooting with an impressive highlight reel during his time at Wolves. The Portuguese has scored four goals this season, catching the attentions of Arsenal among other Premier League clubs.

Neves famously captained Porto in the Champions League at the age of just 18 and was expected to have a long career at the top of the game. However, his time at Wolves has yielded just one season in the Europa League and the deep lying playmaker may be seeking a move to a Champions League club.

However, The Gunners have been given a stern warning by Wolves manager Bruno Lage, with the fellow Portuguese giving a £100 million price tag to the star. Today he said, in a quote reported by the Express and Star: "We need to be ready for everything. A player like Ruben Neves has a value of £100m. Anything can happen, not just with Ruben".

This price tag may lead Arsenal to look elsewhere due to their need to sign a striker as well, one such option could well be Douglas Luiz, with the BirminghamLive reporting that contract talks for the midfielder have not progressed. The midfielder could leave the club next season with his contract up in 2023, but the midlands club will be keen to cash in this summer to avoid losing him for free.

They will be seeking a return on the £15 million paid for him in 2019, and the Brazil international will have no shortage of potential suitors. Arsenal were keen in January on the player, with The London Evening Standard reporting that Arteta is a fan of the player who would represent a considerably cheaper option for the Gunners than Neves.
