Bellingham hands Arsenal a transfer blow
Arsenal have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Real Madrid talent Eduardo Camavinga. The Gunners were interested in taking the French midfielder on loan until the end of the season but it looks as though a move for the 20-year-old could be halted depending on Jude Bellingham’s transfer decision.
The Gunners will need to sign a midfielder to improve upon the depth in the middle of the park. Already being a Champions League winner, Camavinga was certainly a good option for Mikel Arteta.
Despite multiple setbacks in Arsenal’s reported interest in the midfielder, the France international sent Edu a hint to attempt a deal via social media, which could suggest a transfer is on the cards before the deadline next Tuesday.

Leao boost
According to French news outlet Foot Mercato, AC Milan will make a bid to sign Allan Saint-Maximin from Newcastle. They want an initial loan with an option to buy. Both Saint-Maximin and Leao play in the same position.
These reports come after Leao said: “Experience in a new league? Yes, in the future… but now I’m 100% focused on AC Milan — it’s a top club and I’m under contract there. I like the city too.
"I watch many games. This year, I like Arsenal — they’re playing very well," he said speaking to Speaking to RDPAfrica via Fabrizio Romano.

Arsenal target Caicedo
Chelsea had seemed to be leading the race to sign the midfielder, however, the Telegraph are now reporting that Arsenal are considering a move for Caicedo and could once again go head-to-head with Chelsea in the transfer market as the race intensifies for the Brighton midfield. Telegraph’s report adds that Arsenal’s pursuit of Caicedo, does not impact their summer plans to sign Declan Rice in the summer transfer window.
Arsenal already suffered a major blow in the transfer window following Chelsea’s acquisition of Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk. The Gunners were advanced in their negotiations before the Blues hijacked a deal.
If Edu does opt against signing Youri Tielemans with football.london understanding that the Brazilian is prepared to wait and sign him on a free transfer next season, then it is crucial that an alternative is signed. Caicedo would certainly be a good option.
