Edu can sign 'next Mbappe'
Arsenal technical director has been presented with a superb chance to sign Turkish internatioanl Arda Guler who could go on to reach the heights of Kylian Mbappe based on a stat from last season.
From the 2022/23 campaign, as collated by WhoScored, Guler averaged a 7.78 match rating in a category of players with at least 10 starts. In the major European leagues, only five players scored higher, with Mbappe in fourth at 7.87 just above his PSG teammate Neymar who had an average rating of 7.83.
Antoine Griezmann, Jeremy Doku and Messi were the three players above the PSG duo with Messi comfortably topping the list at 8.28.
To give Arsenal a further incentive to complete a move, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Guler has a €17.5million (£15million) release clause included in his current contract.
Enzo Fernandez request in Rice battle
West Ham have thus far rejected three formal bids for Declan Rice with Arsenal and Manchester City both sending offers.
The latest proposal arrived from Etihad Stadium totalling £90million but it was swiftly turned down by the Hammers despite City including more achievable add-ons and a better payment structure than Arsenal, as football.london understands
Now, Jordan Davies of the Sun has claimed that West Ham's stance has been clear from the start in that they want a British transfer record fee if Rice is to leave the London Stadium this summer.

Chelsea's £106million deal to sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica back in January is currently the highest any British club has paid for a player, beating out the £100million City spent on Jack Grealish two years ago.
Declan Rice latest
Manchester City saw their first official bid to sign Declan Rice rejected by West Ham, with the London club then receiving two verbal offers that both exceed £90million, as per the Telegraph.
The Hammers are hopeful those two bids, expected to be from Arsenal and Man City, will be formally made in writing in the between the next 24-48 hours.
Despite City entering the race, the 24-year-old's preferred destination is still Emirates Stadium, and according to the Guardian, the player is now waiting for an improved bid from Arsenal.
That proposal will likely arrive in the coming days in a week which looks set to be a crucial one for Mikel Arteta and Edu in the summer window.
