An old tweet that has resurfaced suggests Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin may already have an affection for Arsenal amid the news the Gunners want to lure him to the Emirates.
Mikel Arteta's main transfer target this month was clearly Fiorentina forward Dusan Vlahovic, but the Serbia international is proving particularly difficult to negotiate with and is reportedly hardly excited by the prospect of joining Arsenal.
As a result, the Gunners have been forced to divert their attention to other potential candidates to lead the line for the club in the years to come and Calvert-Lewin is one of the most high-profile names currently being touted with a north London switch.
And the Toffees forward may be tempted given his social media profile once seemed to show that the 24-year-old was an Arsenal fan.

A tweet from the England international dated as far back as March 13, 2013 reads "#COYG", a commonly used hashtag among Arsenal fans online that means 'come on you Gunners.'
The time of the tweet suggests it came just minutes into the second-leg of Arsenal's round of 16 clash at Bayern Munich in a game that saw the Gunners eliminated on away goals.
Former Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud put Arsene Wenger's men on front on the night inside the opening five minutes, meaning Calvert-Lewin's tweet is likely to have been written just after the Gunners gave themselves a fighting chance to overturn the 3-1 deficit from the first leg.
Ultimately, Calvert-Lewin ended the night disappointed as Arsenal fell just short against the German giants.
Laurent Koscielny added a second late on but it was too little too late and Arsenal failed to find the third they needed for a memorable victory on Bayern soil.
Fast forward just under a decade later and Arsenal are linked with Calvert-Lewin as the Toffees forward is viewed as one striker that could get the Gunners back into the European elite.
It has been five years since the red half of north London had anything to shout about when it comes to Champions League qualification with Arsenal's last game in the competition coincidentally coming against Bayern Munich, though this time it came in the form of a 5-1 defeat.
While Arsenal are aware they have very little chance of prising Calvert-Lewin away from Goodison Park this month, the Gunners hierarchy are rumoured to be willing to wait until the summer window.
The Toffees will be reluctant to sell under any circumstances but will expect £60m minimum for the former Sheffield United forward.
Real Sociedad's Alexander Isak and Lille's Jonathan David are also candidates to replace the exiled Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and soon-to-be-departed Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah.
