Arsenal transfer news and rumours: Gabriel Jesus deal agreed with Gunners offering Raphinha more than Barca

Arsenal look eager to put the disappointment of missing out on Champions League football behind them.

While the season ended on a bad note, Mikel Arteta has consistently spoken of the “process” the club are going through under his watch, urging for time.

To his credit, there were certainly signs of improvement last time out, with his young side arguably performing better than many expected.

Now, they look set to build. Fabio Vieira is already through the door and more are set to follow.

Here’s all you need to know about the latest Arsenal news and rumours…

Gabriel Jesus

According to multiple reports, Gabriel Jesus has agreed personal terms with Arsenal.

A five-year-deal is understood to have been accepted with a £45m move from Manchester City now close.

The Brazilian has been Arteta’s leading target this summer and, despite reported interest from elsewhere, the 25-year-old will likely become the fourth signing of the summer.

Raphinha

Compatriot Raphinha is another thought to be high up on Arteta’s list of targets.

Arsenal are understood to have seen a bid for the Leeds United forward rejected, although reports from Marca suggest another offer could be on the way.

Interestingly, the Gunners are thought to be offering a higher salary than Barcelona, although the forward is believed to prefer the idea of a move to the Camp Nou.

Lisandro Martinez

Fresh talks: Arsenal are said to have held positive discussions over Lisandro Martinez (Getty Images)

Another South American on the club’s radar is Ajax defender, Lisandro Martinez.

The Argentine international is of interest this summer, who is understood to be valued at around £30m.

According to the Daily Express, the Gunners have made fresh contact with the Dutch giants over a potential move, with the talks said to have been “positive”.
