Leicester City have set their price for James Maddison ahead of the summer transfer window as an exit looks all but certain in the coming weeks. The Foxes failed to beat the drop in the Premier League this season as they succumbed to relegation on the final day, despite victory over West Ham.
It means the side will be plying their trade in the Championship next campaign and a whole host of changes will have to be made across the squad. Maddison is one of those who looks set to leave, with just 12 months remaining on his contract that is a huge factor in an exit.
Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle could be tempted into a switch this summer though as Leicester City are said to have named their price for Maddison for the coming weeks. A report from the Mirror claims that £40million could be enough to land the England international this summer.

Arsenal will be looking to close the gap on Manchester City in the race for the title, adding quality in the summer window. "I am really interested in understanding, reflecting and analysing what we have in the house and what resources we have already," Mikel Arteta said on the transfer window ahead.
"How we can improve and how we can maximise and take players to a different level, the ones we haven't got everything from. Then the bonus will be to make those decisions and improve the team, but as well we don't want to lose that cohesion that exists around the team and that understanding. Hopefully we make the right decisions."
Whether that results in a switch for Maddison remains to be seen, but there are plenty of other suitors in case the Gunners don't make their move. Newcastle are one of those heavily named with an approach, but so too are Tottenham, who have also historically been linked.
Spurs are without a head coach or director of football, making any transfer without an infrastructure in place highly unlikely until that's resolved. "Honestly, I think as I said we probably need to understand where we want to go and who we want to be and that's the most important thing," interim boss Ryan Mason said about the path ahead for Spurs. "Once you decide that then you can employ the people that fit that and then I think everyone is quite clear on the direction we would like to go."
