Arsenal have been told the three reasons why they need to sign Yeremy Pino this summer by Villarreal under-23 assistant coach Nando Martinez.
The Gunners have already spent well over £100million for a second successive summer after securing deals for Gabriel Jesus, Fabio Vieira, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Matt Turner and Marquinhos. Mikel Arteta revealed how the club are still trying to secure more signings prior to the transfer deadline at the end of the month after watching his side beat Crystal Palace 2-0 at Selhurst Park.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Pino with the club keen to add a new winger to Arteta's squad after being snubbed by former Leeds winger Raphinha in favour of a move to Barcelona. The Villarreal starlet has previously admitted he models himself on Manchester United icon Cristiano Ronaldo and now Martinez has offered more encouragement about Pino's character and ability.

The 19-year-old winger is one of Spain's most promising talents and Arsenal fans will be very pleased after reading a glowing review of Pino given by Villarreal's under-23 assistant coach Nando Martinez, who gave them three reasons to be excited about the potential transfer. Speaking to El Pais, Martinez said: "Yeremy stands out for his character, the more difficult the challenge, the more able he is to demonstrate his potential.
"He maintains the essence of when he played on the street as a child. In addition, he lives for football, and every day ensures he has the right complementary training, nutrition and rest. Yeremy has been, and is, a blessing for his coaches."
At just 19, Pino already has four international caps for Spain and is showing signs of becoming a top attacker after registering 11 goal contributions in 40 appearances last term for the Yellow Submarine. The Gunners could soon welcome the Spanish teenager with reports suggesting a fee in the region of £33million could be accepted by the La Liga side, half the amount of Pino's reported release clause of £67million.
Arsenal are said to have held off interest from Premier League rivals Liverpool and acted swiftly to begin negotiations with Villarreal regarding a deal for Pino. With the Spanish outfit in need of transfer funds to reinvest into the squad, the Gunners could secure a much cheaper deal for the 19-year-old than anticipated and join up with an exciting, young, attacking contingent at the Emirates Stadium with Emile Smith Rowe, Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Fabio Vieira and Gabriel Martinelli all battling for a starting spot in Arteta's team.
