Arsenal have seemingly been interested in securing the services of highly-rated Dutch forward Cody Gakpo for some time. The PSV forward failed to complete a move to the Premier League in the summer following an impressive 2021/22 season, but his form in the Eredivisie has resulted in the rumours intensifying.
Gakpo, 23, has been on red-hot form this season for Ruud van Nistelrooy's side, with 13 goals in 18 appearances across all competitions. The PSV captain has scored nine league goals in 10 games, including a hat-trick in the 7-1 win over FC Volendam in August.
After failing to complete a Deadline Day move to Leeds United, Gakpo has continued to impress in his home nation and admitted this week how he held talks with Manchester United in the summer. However, the winger has been linked with a move to N7 ahead of the Gunners' double header against PSV.

With United opting to sign Antony from Ajax, there remains tough competition from Real Madrid ahead of a possible January transfer. Arsenal's attack has endured a terrific start to the season, with Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka contributing to 14 goals so far.
Ahead of Gakpo's visit to the Emirates Stadium, former Gunners defender Martin Keown has spoken highly of the Dutchman and has compared him to stars in present and past.
"He has just made it into the international team, he is a real talent," he told BT Sport.
"It is interesting, he is really like Martinelli for Arsenal on that left hand side. He cuts in with real quality. He has got everything in his game, pace, power and precision.
"He has got wheels and he comes into that (Thierry) Henry like position, he opens his body. He has been really prolific.
"They (PSV) are really strong in those forward positions and no one has really been able to handle him this season."
