Arsenal told how to secure Alexander Isak transfer as Real Sociedad make feelings clear

Arsenal have been told they will need to pay the full amount of Alexander Isak's release clause if the striker is to leave Real Sociedad this month.

The Gunners have identified the Swedish forward as their number one target after Dusan Vlahovic rejected them in favour of a switch to Juventus.

Isak was reportedly spotted in London this weekend with teammate Adnan Januzaj.

It's claimed that Isak was in a bar in Kingly Court in Soho and in a shopping centre alongside the former Manchester United youngster.

That has ramped up speculation that he is Arsenal bound but Mikel Arteta is running out of time with just over 24 hours until the transfer window slams shut.

And Sociedad have made it clear he is not leaving before the deadline unless the Gunners cough up the entire amount of his release clause which is £75.4million, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.

The report also says that no offers have arrived as of yet and Sociedad are confident the 22-year-old will be at the club for the remainder of the campaign.

If Arsenal are willing to break the bank for Isak, it seems the player would be open to a move to north London.

Isak has previously spoken of his lofty ambitions to play in England one day and reach the highest level.

"I am in a good place at the moment, I am very happy, but one day it would be nice to play in England as well," Isak recently told The Independent.

"They have six or seven of the biggest clubs in the world, it is a very high level, and of course one day it would be an alternative. Every player wants to be the best version of themselves and reach the highest possible level.

"I have expectations for myself that I’m trying to fulfil, so we’ll see where the journey takes me in future."

Isak also has an affinity with Arsenal after watching them regularly growing up as a kid.

In an interview with Min Stora Dag alongside Sweden team-mate Dejan Kulusevski, Isak also revealed his childhood footballing idol was none other than Arsenal legend Thierry Henry as the rising star believes they share similar qualities.

He said: "I have a lot of football players who I have looked up to & have taken a lot from, but if I have to name one, I would say Thierry Henry, who I have really liked all the time & where I see many qualities that I have tried to follow.”
