Arsenal tipped to complete seven January transfers including Mykhaylo Mudryk and Joao Felix

Arsenal have enjoyed a great season and sit top of the Premier League, but with the strength of Manchester City's squad challenging them there are some important decisions to make for Mikel Arteta and Edu this month.

The Gunners have lost Gabriel Jesus to injury, with the Brazilian striker having become a key part of their success this season. This means that the signing of a striker in addition to their search for a left-winger could become a priority despite the positive performances of Eddie Nketiah in Jesus' abesence.

A long-term issue for Arsenal is also midfield, with Arteta heavily reliant on the partnership of Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka. This has led to a number of names being linked with a move to North London this month.

Here, we take a look at some of the names who have been tipped by the bookies to join Arsenal this January.

All odds via Sky Bet and correct at the time of publication.

Mykhaylo Mudryk - 4/6

The most likely of the options listed, Mudryk has publicly hinted at his interest in joining Arsenal but still has odds of 2/1 to join Chelsea this January. However, his youth as well as position on the left-wing make him the perfect profile to join Arsenal this month and the main name which will continue to be linked to the club.

Talks have been confirmed by the Shakhtar chief executive and three goals in six Champions League appearances this season will be exciting to Arsenal fans.

Joao Felix - 5/2

The injury to Gabriel Jesus has brought to light the lack of depth in Arsenal's attack and the Atletico winger could help resolve these issues. He has struggled to fit into Diego Simeone's system in Madrid, but he has shown versatility in a number of roles including on the left-wing and as a central forward.

He remains a highly sought after talent and Manchester United have also been given odds of 5/2 to sign the Portuguese star. He would be an expensive option, but his quality is undoubted and could help elevate Arsenal's squad to the next level.

Youri Tielemans - 5/1

The Belgian midfielder is unlikely to sign a new contract at Leicester City and for the next six months is free to talk to any prospective clubs. He could still join Arsenal this month in a cut price deal and as a player who the Gunners were linked with last summer he would be a good bet.

He is believed to have been eyed by both Newcastle and Liverpool as well and his availability will be one of the key stories to keep an eye on this month.

Ferran Torres - 5/1

Arsenal are expected to sign Mudryk, with the Ukrainian winger expected to come in to provide depth on the left wing. However, if they are not able to secure his signature then they may turn their attentions towards alternative options, with Torres a potential option.

The Barcelona winger has been linked with a move recently having slipped out of favour with Xavi in Catalonia. He has Premier League experience and should a move for Mudryk not materialise then a loan or permanent deal could be on the cards this month.

Declan Rice - 6/1

One of the star performers in England's World Cup campaign, Declan Rice is believed to be one of the top names on the shopping list of some of Europe's top clubs. Chelsea and Liverpool are both backed to make a move for the West Ham captain, but Arsenal have been made the favourites to secure his signature.

He would help bolster the midfield and bring some star quality to the team - this would be in addition to his youth, with the box-to-box midfielder turning 24 this month. His price tag could be a stumbling block, with a potential fee of £100 million for the Three Lions star.

Douglas Luiz - 8/1

The Aston Villa midfielder was linked to a Deadline Day move to Arsenal in the summer, but the clubs' valuation of the Brazilian was some way apart. However, they have been tipped to return for the player this month, with the box-to-box midfielder looking like an ideal option.

A Brazilian international, he has produced great form for Villa this season and was man of the match as Villa beat Tottenham Hotspur on New Year's Day. However, his new contract signed following Arsenal's attempt to secure his signature could be a stumbling block and persuade the Gunners to pursue other options.

Wilfried Zaha - 8/1

Another name who has been linked to the club as an alternative to Mudryk, Zaha will be available for free in the summer as his Crystal Palace contract expires and could be a cut-price option for the Gunners.

The 30-year-old is thought to have a preference for a move to Arsenal should he leave Palace, but his age could be a problem with the current transfer policy at the club favouring younger players.
