Celta Vigo starlet Gabri Veiga continues to be linked with a summer transfer to Arsenal.
Veiga had enjoyed a breakthrough season in La Liga, netting nine goals and providing a further four assists in the league despite playing just 1890 minutes. This works out at a direct goal contribution every 145 minutes - numbers that read even more impressive when you consider he plays in midfield and is still just 20 years old.
Now, Spanish outlet AS have claimed that if the youngster doesn't join Real Madrid, a move to the Premier League is likely and Arsenal are named as the player's preferred destination if a move to the English top-flight does materialise. Veiga is said to have a €40 million release clause (£35 million), a fairly reasonable price considering his sky-high potential.

Transfer guru Ben Jacobs has also reported that the Gunners' interest in Veiga is long-standing but a host of other top clubs in Europe are said to be keen as well. “Arsenal’s interest is long standing," Jacobs told CaughtOffside earlier this week.
"He’s been on their radar for quite some time. Real Madrid, Manchester City, Liverpool and Bayern are four other teams to watch.”
