Arsenal: Thierry Henry reacts to Myles Lewis-Skelly mocking Erling Haaland with goal celebration

Impressed: Thierry Henry - (Sky Sports)

Thierry Henry has lavished praise on Myles Lewis-Skelly after the Arsenal youngster downed Manchester City.

A stunning 5-1 victory over the champions saw Lewis-Skelly produce a man-of-the-match display and the Gunners make a huge title statement.

It was another fiery game, after the reverse fixture earlier in the season saw Erling Haaland tell Mikel Arteta to "stay humble" and asked Lewis-Skelly who he was.

Lewis Skelly gave Haaland an answer with Arsenal's fourth goal, and the City striker would have seen the teenager mock his goal celebration soon after.

Speaking after the game, club legend Henry said of Lewis-Skelly: "I just love him, really. He’s one of our own.

“I liked the goal, but I enjoyed the celebration even more!”

Mikel Arteta added on Lewis-Skelly: “He’s been nurtured in the academy and he feels it.

“He’s very good at expressing himself which some players struggle with. He takes risks and at his age that’s fantastic.”

Ethan Nwaneri, another Hale End graduate the cherry on top of a stunning evening with the fifth goal.

The win lifted Arsenal three points clear of third-placed Nottingham Forest but Liverpool, with a game in hand, still retain a strong advantage at the top.
