Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has insisted he will stay at the club after rumours of a move to Arsenal or Manchester United.
Reportedly rated at £85million, the Nigeria star has detailed positive talks held with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis in which he was impressed by the Partenopei’s summer signings.
“I’m in Napoli and I have great respect for my club,” Osimhen told Corriere dello Sport, via Metro.
“They are just rumours of the market. I’m fine here and I’ve never had such close relationships with everyone as at this moment.
“I spoke to the president, he is the one who decides, and he reassured me by explaining the club’s plans.
“I am happy with what he told me and the purchases are of quality - words were followed by deeds. I am very happy to play with Napoli and we will see in the future.”
Having let Kalidou Koulibaly leave for Chelsea, Napoli have spent almost £30m on full-back Mathias Oliveira and winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, plus the permanent signing of Fulham loanee Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa.
