Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang tipped for shock Manchester United transfer

Manchester United are being tipped to sign Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the summer transfer window by the bookmakers.

Reports in Italy have emerged that suggest United have identified the 30-year-old as a potential striking solution should Romelu Lukaku depart amid strong interest from Inter Milan.

Tuttosport report that Aubameyang has 'said yes' to the idea of switching to the Gunners Premier League rivals.

And the latest odds suggest that the striker is being tipped by punters for a move to Old Trafford after his odds were slashed from 5/1 to 7/4 by SkyBet after several large bets.

Aubameyang finished last season with 22 goals as he shared the Premier League golden boot.

United are willing to sell Lukaku in a deal worth £75m , with some of that fee coming in the form of attainable add-ons, and that could potentially free up some of the cash needed to bring a striker in.

However the signing of the experienced former Borussia Dortmund striker would go against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's transfer policy of signing young players with plenty of potential.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery wants to sign former United man Wilfried Zaha this summer but they don't have the funds to match Palace's £80m valuation. Allowing Aubameyang to leave could free up the money needed to land Zaha.
