Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard has spoken of the belief in Mikel Arteta’s young side after they climbed back into the Premier League’s top four with a fifth straight victory.
Odegaard has been in sensational form in recent weeks and produced another scintillating display as the Gunners beat Leicester 2-0 at the Emirates on Sunday evening.
The victory saw the Gunners move back in front of Manchester United and West Ham, after both had leapfrogged them following wins earlier in the weekend.
Crucially, though, Arsenal have three games in hand over both sides and Wolves below them, while Tottenham in eighth have played only one game more but are six points behind their north London rivals.
“We have a very strong belief in the group and play with a lot of confidence,” Odegaard told Sky Sports.
“We just have to keep going. We have a lot of confidence in the team now and everyone believes in what we are doing. We are strong as a team and that is the most important thing.”
