Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has insisted the Premier League title race is still in the Gunners' hands despite their frustrating draw against West Ham. For the second consecutive Sunday, the day after title rivals Manchester City secured maximum points, Mikel Arteta watched his team let a two-goal lead slip.
The skipper was on the scoresheet at London Stadium as he doubled the visitors lead after less than 15 minutes converting a Gabriel Martinelli cross. Just moments earlier, Gabriel Jesus had given Arsenal the lead latching on to a superb cross from Ben White.
Said Benrahma gave West Ham hope just before half time scoring from the penalty spot after a foul from Gabriel Magalhaes on Lucas Paqueta. Early in the second period, Bukayo Saka had the chance to regain Arsenal's two-goal advantage from 12 yards but he sent his penalty wide off the target.

Jarrod Bowen then scored an equaliser less than five minutes later with the game finishing level and thus meaning Arsenal have dropped two points in the title race in the exact same manner as they did against Liverpool last Sunday.
Following another disappointing result for Arsenal, Odegaard offered his verdict on what went wrong for him and his teammates, as well as providing a fresh Premier League title verdict
"A lot of the same things to last week, started well but then we stopped, allowed them to play on their qualities," Odegaard told Sky Sports.
"We gave them the game they wanted, we gave them hope, and that's on us. We have to look forward now. We started to do a lot of stupid things on the ball, we allowed them to play on the long balls.
"We have to remember we are still top of the league with everything in our own hands," he added on the title race picture. "The same mindset, same mentality to make sure we win the next one."
