Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus has blasted Everton defender Yerry Mina after the pair were involved in a confrontation during the Gunners' pre-season friendly against Everton last week.
Jesus signed for the north Londoners this summer after completing a £45million move from Premier League champions Manchester City. The Brazilian has scored three goals since signing for the Gunners, impacting Mikel Arteta's squad immediately.
One of these came in Arsenal's 2-0 win over Everton last week, but prior to finding the net, the 25-year-old became embroiled in a confrontation with Mina in which the Colombian looked to intimidate the Jesus. However, the Brazilian has gone on to reveal that it ultimately had the opposite effect.

"You know what, I have played with Mina before in Palmeiras," he told football.london at a launch party for Arsenal's new away kit. "We were so close to each other. Then, after, I don't know why he started to attack me to do something like this on my chest and then talking s**t. I don't know why.
"I don't know the reason for him to do this. At the end, I am not a kid anymore, and I go straight to him as well. After we won the game, and that's all that matters."
This kind of approach is something Arsenal have been criticised for lacking in the past. Last season Mikel Arteta described his side as being too naive on occasion, and admitted that he is a fan of Jesus' streetwise style of play.
"I love those kinds of players," the Spaniard said in his press conference after the win against Everton. "Streetwise, they learn a lot, they know how to feel, they can take advantage of any situation and that’s what we need."
