Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus has claimed that young duo Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli are "machines" and he is "lucky" to play alongside them. It comes after fantastic start to the Premier League season for the Gunners, who sit top of the division with nine wins from 11 games.
The forward line has been a particular area of impressive displays this campaign, with their rotations and quality causing plenty of issues for their opposition. Jesus stood out early on since joining from Manchester City and despite his five-game goal drought, he has still played a key role in their all-round play.
"I’m sure that today he will be disappointed because he had the chances to put them away. Knowing Gabby, he’s disappointed when he scores two goals and could have scored three or four, so he can do that," Mikel Arteta said on his striker's form against Southampton. "But he’s having the chances and he’s always there. He gives so much to the team and it’s a shame he couldn’t put them away today."

While he has struggled in front of goal as of late, scoring of goals is a team responsibility and something that has been taken up by both Saka and Martinelli. The pair have added plenty of end product to their already huge skillset at their disposal, scoring frequently across all competitions.
Amid such praise, their strike partner Jesus has given plenty of praise to them, claiming before the side's clash with PSV Eindhoven: "They are machines. I joke with them. I think I am a player with a lot of energy and I run all the time, I fight all the time. But when I train every day with them I realise I am not even close to them.
"They just don’t stop. They are machines, quality players as well all, And they’re still young, both 21. I am lucky to play with them." Given some of the players Jesus has played with and the trophies he has won in the early stages of his career, it's some huge praise for the pair.
With their contracts the centre of renewal discussions, it's clear the side could be a huge long-term project if they continue to shine and commit their futures to the club.
