Arsenal social media message hints at triple Mikel Arteta change for Chelsea clash

Arsenal welcome London rivals Chelsea to the Emirates Stadium this evening in another crucial clash in the Premier League title race.

The Gunners can temporarily retain their spot at the top of the table with victory over Frank Lampard's men. They dropped to second place over the weekend after Manchester City defeated Fulham.

Victory over the Blues will see Mikel Arteta's men go two points above their title rivals. On paper, they should do just that, with Chelsea losing their last five games and not managing a win since March. However, in any local derby, form goes out the window.

Arsenal have had six days to prepare for tonight's contest and Arteta may decide to make a number of alterations to the side that were beaten 4-1 by Man City. And ahead of the game, messages on social media may have provided a hint at the Spaniard's team selection.

On Instagram, midfield trio Granit Xhaka, Thomas Partey and Jorginho have all posted matchday graphics on their stories. It's highly unlikely that Arteta will drop Martin Odegaard from his midfield, but it could mean Jorginho could be in contention to start against his former employers.

The Italian made over 210 appearances for Chelsea before making the switch across the capital in the summer. However, he has played a bit-part role for Arsenal and has only featured four times in the last six games.
