Arsenal's January transfer window appears to have sparked into life over the past few days, with two deals seemingly on the brink of completion. The Gunners pushed hard to sign Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk as a priority this month, but failed to land him as a switch to Chelsea was completed.
There were concerns from some fans as to whether any deals would be completed, with plenty harking back to last January where no additions were made and the side faltered in the race for the top four. With the Premier League title well and truly up for grabs, any disappointment over signings may have been banished quickly.
Brighton star Leandro Trossard has made the switch as the first signing for the Gunners this January, having been free to leave the Seagulls. The forward is versatile - able to play anywhere across the front three - has an ideal injury history, plenty of quality and at 28-years-old he is heading into his peak.

That doesn't appear to be the only signing on the cards though, with Arsenal in talks over a move for Jakub Kiwior, football.london understands. The promising young defender looks set for the switch to north London in a bid worth £17.5million, signalling another smart move from the club.
The 22-year-old has certainly impressed this season for Spezia, starting nearly every game in Serie A so far in their campaign. He, much like other Arsenal players, offers plenty of versatility too, being left-footed and able to play centre-back, left-back and as a deeper midfielder.
The move could be another smart piece of business from the Gunners on their road to building sustainable success at the club. But which squad number is he likely to wear once the deal is completed?
