Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney has been urged to get 'revenge' on Manchester City star Rodri after his shocking tackle on Martin Odegaard during Norway's Euro 2024 qualifier clash against Spain. The Gunners captain was hacked down by the Spanish midfielder inside the penalty box, yet Rodri escaped without being penalised for his rash challenge.
Mikel Arteta's side currently sit eight points clear of title rivals Manchester City at the top of the table, with an extra game played, putting the title race firmly in their hands. Poor results and injuries may be one of the only things able to derail the campaign now, though the latter is becoming a concern with the volume of games before the end of May.
Takehiro Tomiyasu is confirmed to be missing the rest of the season, while Arteta continues to sweat over the fitness of William Saliba after a back concern. Should Odegaard suffer a serious injury, it could completely derail the Gunners' title challenge heading into the final stretch of the season given his importance to the team.

Discussing the tackle after the game against Spain, Odegaard told TV2: "He’s coming with his studs right on my ankle. But I’m sure I’ll get punished [if I say anymore].
"I don’t bother saying anything else about the referee. It’s better not to say anything."
Arsenal fans have now urged Odegaard's club team-mate Tierney to get revenge on Rodri when Scotland face Spain on Tuesday night. Supporters took to social media to vent their frustration regarding the City midfielder's tackle on the Norwegian playmaker and are now hoping Tierney can get payback tomorrow night.
@afcevan tweeted: "Would hate to be Rodri if Tierney sees a 50/50 with him on Tuesday."
@minm1nszn posted: "Tierney fella, you have a job to do," referring to the Arsenal defender putting in a strong challenge on Rodri.
@joebutters responded to @cityreport_'s tweet referring to City avoiding any serious injuries during the international break with the tweet: "I wouldn't speak too soon, still got the epic Kieran Tierney revenge on Rodri to come."
@nazrisg posted: "Tierney looking at Rodri trying to injure Odegaard...Don’t worry, KT has something for you for the Scotland vs Spain game in a few days."
Erling Haaland was withdrawn from Norway's squad for their Euro 2024 qualifiers during the international break after suffering a groin problem in training. The Norwegian striker is expected to be available for City's clash against Liverpool this weekend, and many Arsenal fans urged Odegaard to follow suit and pull out of the squad to avoid any potential injury risks.
