Arsenal sent Hickey summer transfer warning by Bologna

Arsenal sent Hickey summer transfer warning by Bologna

ARSENAL have been warned Aaron Hickey could still remain at Bologna as the club hold out for an adequate transfer fee.

The Scotland international - and ex-Hearts full-back - has excelled for the Serie A club leading to links with a Premier League move.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with a summer transfer swoop for Hickey with a fee of around £21.25million touted.

Bologna have just appointed Marco Di Vaio as sporting director at the club ahead of any transfer business.

And Di Vaio has quickly confirmed Hickey could leave Italy this summer but only if an acceptable offer is received.

As quoted by DAZN, Hickey is thought to be an "expendable" name on the market for the Serie A side but they would be happy to keep hold of him for another year should his value not be met.

Di Vaio said: "Hickey may be one of the expendable names on the market, but in case of inadequate offers he may stay with us for another year."
