Arsenal have sent a short but sweet message to former icon Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as he closes in on a Transfer Deadline Day switch to Chelsea despite complications with a new freak injury that could have ruined the deal.
The Blues are in talks to sign the 33-year-old but have encountered many obstacles. Not only the one of Marcos Alonso with Barcelona no longer wanting him involved in these talks, but the latest issue is one that no one could have controlled. Reports emerged that the Gabonese forward had been threatened alongside his wife to open up a safe and hand over jewellery and valuable objects at their home. The striker was also harmed in the incident and suffered a broken jaw.
The one-time Premier League Golden Boot winner informed us on his Instagram: "Hey guys, thanks a lot for all the messages. On Sunday night, some violent cowards broke into our home and threatened my family and my children just to steal some stuff. They injured my jaw, but I will recover in no time, and thank God no one else was physically harmed. The feeling that we are no lo longer safe in our own house is hard to understand and describe, but as a family, we will overcome this and stand stronger than ever. Thanks for all the support, it really means a lot to us. Auba."

It is understood that despite having second thoughts on this deal, as per The Athletic, Chelsea are set to plough on with their plans to reunite Thomas Tuchel with a striker who thrived under his management at Borussia Dortmund.
football.london understands that Chelsea are hoping to agree on a base fee of £22m and will persist on offering Alonso as part of the deal.
A tactic that seemingly hasn't worked its trick with the latest reports in Spain indicating that the latest set of meetings between the two clubs went 'very badly.'
Amid continued links to the likes of Rafael Leão, Wilfried Zaha, Neymar and Ivan Toney ahead of Deadline Day, the jury remains out on if the west Londoners can sign a player who fell out terribly under Mikel Arteta in 2021/22.
Regardless, his recovery from this armed robbery remains his utmost priority amid the constant transfer speculation and his former club have gone on to post a classy gesture, despite the fallout, which was plain for everyone to see in the Amazon All or Nothing series.
@Arsenal tweeted: 'Stay strong Auba, we’re all with you.'
