Arsenal have been linked with a move for Feyenoord winger Luis Sinisterra and could be given a considerable helping hand by academy graduate Reiss Nelson. The Colombian winger is reportedly among the candidates in line for a potential switch to the Emirates Stadium.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Gunners have put forward a proposal for his services, with the Eredivisie side set to demand €15m (£12.5m) for the wideman. It remains to be seen whether the Gunners will pay that fee but they appear to have considerable competition in the race for his signature in the form of Spanish side Atletico Madrid and Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen.
Elsewhere, Napoli are also reported to be keen on Sinisterra, with it being suggested that the Serie A side have possibly won the race as they attempt to find a replacement for club icon Lorenzo Insigne, who will join MLS side Toronto FC at the end of the season.

The Gunners though might have an advantage should they re-enter the fray for the 22-year-old. Having plied his trade for Feyenoord since a 2018 move from Once Caldas, Sinisterra has been teammates with a number of players including Arsenal academy graduate Reiss Nelson.
The young Englishman actually joined the Dutch outfit at the start of the season for a season-long loan. His spell with the Netherlands outfit has not quite gone to plan with just two goals in 23 appearances in all competitions but would still be capable of having a word with Sinisterra should the Gunners make a play for the winger. After all, he is a big fan of the current Arsenal boss.
Speaking in 2020, he said: “Now is a great time to have him as a manager because he understands what I am good at. He’s going to give me the encouragement when I need it, and if I am not doing the right stuff he is going to tell me.
“I have all my belief in Mikel and I think he is going to make me into a top player.”
Arsenal have already sealed a transfer ahead of the summer transfer window with New England Revolution Mat Turner set to become a Gunner ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.
