Arsenal's next six Premier League fixtures compared to Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United

Arsenal's 2022/23 season has got off to the perfect start, clinching victories in each of their opening three Premier League matches.

Mikel Arteta’s side kicked off the campaign perfectly with a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. This was then followed up with a 4-2 victory in the first Premier League home game of the season against Leicester City. The Gunners then made it three wins in a row after a dominant 3-0 display away from home against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur pipped the Gunners to a top-four finish last season and they appear to be their two biggest rivals for UEFA Champions League qualification again until the end of the season. Manchester United have endured a horrendous start to the campaign, but an impressive end to the transfer window could also put them in the race for Champions League football alongside Arsenal.

With that in mind, football.london compares Arsenal and their rival's next six league fixtures.

Fulham (H) - August 27

Next up for the Gunners is newly promoted side Fulham at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal have already dismantled a team who were promoted last year in Bournemouth, and Arteta will be hoping for a similar result.

However, Marco Silva’s Fulham side will be no pushovers as they have had a good start to the season and have taken points off Liverpool already.

Aston Villa (H) - August 31

The Gunners' first-midweek fixture of the season sees them welcome Aston Villa to north London on a Wednesday night right before the summer transfer window shuts. Villa did the double over Arteta's side during the 2020/21 campaign, including an embarrassing 3-0 defeat at the Emirates.

However, Arsenal got their own back last term, beating them 3-1 at home before winning 1-0 in the return fixture at Villa Park.

Man United (A) - September 4

Arsenal’s first big six test of the season comes at Old Trafford against Manchester United. Erik ten Hag has endured a terrible start to life as the Red Devils’ boss with the Dutchman yet to register a victory.

However, The Gunners lost at the same ground last season so Mikel Arteta must be cautious going into the fixture with Arsenal notoriously struggling at Old Trafford.

Everton (H) - September 11

Arteta's former club Everton comes next for Arsenal, and the Spaniard will be hoping that the Gunners can repeat the result from last season as the last time Frank Lampard and Co arrived at the Emirates they were on the end of a 5-1 defeat.

Everton have had a difficult start to the season with the Toffees yet to register a win. The Gunners will be hoping that Lampard's men are still yet to find form before they play against each other.

Brentford (A) - September 18

Arsenal's eighth league fixture of the season comes against the team they started last season's campaign against in Brentford. The Bees came out victorious on that day, winning 2-0 as Arteta’s squad was heavily depleted.

The Gunners won the return fixture 2-1 but they will be hoping to do one better this time around by securing all three points at the Community Stadium to fully avenge last season's embarrassment.

Spurs (H) – October 1

Arsenal host the first north London derby of the season, just like the Gunners did last season. Arteta will also be hoping for a similar performance to the previous campaign at the Emirates as his side ran rampant 3-1 victories.

Spurs got their revenge in the last fixture between the two sides as a Rob Holding red card saw Antonio Conte’s team cruise to a 3-0 victory. This the first derby of the season is set to be a tough matchup.

Chelsea's next six fixtures:

Leeds (A) - August 21

Leicester (H) - August 27

Southampton (A) - August 30

West Ham (H) - September 4

Fulham (A) - September 10

Liverpool (H) - September 18

Tottenham's next six fixtures:

Nottingham Forest (A) - August 28

West Ham (A) - August 31

Fulham (H) - September 3

Manchester City (A) - September 10

Leicester City (H) - September 17

Arsenal (A) – October 1

Man United's next six fixtures:

Liverpool (H) - August 22

Southampton (A) - August 27

Leicester City (A) - September 1

Arsenal (H) - September 4

Crystal Palace (A) - September 11

Leeds (H) - September 18
