Arsenal's next six fixtures following Everton and PSV postponements ahead of Queen's funeral

After a short period of doubt, Arsenal will travel to Brentford on Sunday, albeit it an earlier time.

Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday of last week, the Premier League made the decision to postpone the weekend's fixtures. The Gunners' home clash with Everton will have to be rescheduled as a result.

There was hope that the Europa League clash with PSV Eindhoven would go ahead this Thursday, but the game has subsequently been postponed as a result of a shortage of police resources. The Met Police are putting on the biggest operation in the capital's history this weekend as they up security measures ahead of the Queen's funeral on Monday.

The lack of resources meant that Brentford vs Arsenal was also in doubt. However, the fixture has now been brought forward to a 12pm KO, whilst three other fixtures, including Chelsea vs Liverpool, have been postponed instead.

Had there been a need to reschedule the Brentford clash, Arsenal would've had to wait until October to play in the Premier League - against arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur no less. With that in mind, as the postponements have caused disruption and fixture congestion, some fans may be wondering who the Gunners actually have up next.

Here's who their next six fixtures are against.

Brentford (A) - Sunday, September 18

Tottenham (H) - Saturday, October 1

Bodo Glimt (H) - Thursday, October 6

Liverpool (H) - Sunday, October 9

Bodo Glimt (A) - Thursday, October 13

Leeds United (A) - Sunday, October 16

It's a difficult period from now until the World Cup in the middle of November, with Mikel Arteta's side set to play twice a week until the tournament commences. Supporters will be hoping they're prepared and well-equipped to navigate their way through what is a tricky period.
