Arsenal's next five Premier League fixtures predicted as Chelsea trip causes major divide

Arsenal has had a sensational start to the season, which has certainly exceeded expectations. Mikel Arteta's side currently sits at the top of the Premier League table after nine matches.

The Gunners have only suffered one loss in the league, which came against Manchester United in a 3-1 defeat at Old Trafford, but the north London side has won every other match. It is because of this a debate has started on whether Arsenal are serious title contenders come May.

Despite the impressive form, Arsenal will have to take a break in November due to the upcoming World Cup. With five Premier League games remaining until the stoppage in club football, Arsenal's football.london writers predict the remaining league results before the month-long break for the Gunners.

I still predict that Arsenal will remain at the top of the Premier League going into the World Cup in November. I fully expect the Gunners to come out on top against Leeds United as Jesse March's team play expansive football, which certainly is an advantage to Arsenal.

Despite previously having struggles away to Southampton as St Mary's, fortunes will change for the Gunners as Arteta's side finally has the killer instinct to grind out a result, which is how I believe the match will go. A home tie to Nottingham Forest the week after should be straightforward for Arsenal that will see them claim another three points.

The only blip in Arsenal's last five fixtures will be against Chelsea as a 12pm kick-off away at Stamford Bridge is far from ideal, and it is here where I, unfortunately, see the north London lose their second game of the season. But, this will be quickly recovered with a victory against Wolves in the following week to ensure the Gunners remain at the top of the table.

Keogh's predictions:

Leeds United (a) - ARSENAL WIN

Southampton (a) - ARSENAL WIN

Nottingham Forest (H) - ARSENAL WIN

Chelsea (a) - CHELSEA WIN

Wolves (a) - ARSENAL WIN

Tashan Deniran-Alleyne - Arsenal Writer

Five Premier League games remain for Arsenal until the season pauses for the World Cup. On paper, whilst the fixtures do look favourable, it's worth pointing out that four are away from home, not to mention there's still business to take care of in the Europa League group phase.

With that said, I would expect the Gunners to beat Nottingham Forest at home. Even though the atmosphere inside the Emirates Stadium this season has been electric, I've been more impressed with the performances on the road. That gives me hope of taking maximum points against Leeds United, Southampton and Wolves.

Now, here's where things get a little tricky, as the Chelsea fixture next month does concern me. I realise that Mikel Arteta has a decent record at Stamford Bridge, but he does tend to struggle against Graham Potter, so that, combined with a 12pm kick-off, leads me to think points will be dropped.

Deniran-Alleyne's predictions:

Leeds United (a) - ARSENAL WIN

Southampton (a) - ARSENAL WIN

Nottingham Forest (H) - ARSENAL WIN

Chelsea (a) - DRAW

Wolves (a) - ARSENAL WIN

Tom Canton - Arsenal Writer

For context, there are few more optimistic Arsenal supporters around, or so I like to claim, than me. But I genuinely do not see any reason why the Gunners cannot win their next five fixtures.

They have been the better side in every game they have played so far. Injuries are looking okay (runs to touch the nearest piece of wood available), and on paper, the most challenging fixture from the next five is at Stamford Bridge, where the Gunners remain undefeated in their last three visits with two wins over Chelsea in that time to boot.

Would I be disappointed to drop points in any, of course, although with how the season has begun, the inevitable points that will be dropped at some stage will be far less damaging than this time last year. With the way we're playing, the confidence, the quality and with how we now have this intimidating aura around us, our opponents should and, I am sure, will be fearful, which helps psychologically in a way we've simply not possessed for some considerable amount of time.

Canton's predictions:

Leeds United (a) - ARSENAL WIN

Southampton (a) - ARSENAL WIN

Nottingham Forest (H) - ARSENAL WIN

Chelsea (a) - ARSENAL WIN

Wolves (a) - ARSENAL WIN.
