Arsenal’s next five fixtures give them a great opportunity to close the gap to Liverpool in the Premier League title race.
The Gunners maintained their strong recent form with an impressive 2-0 win over Manchester United on Wednesday.
Jurrien Timber and William Saliba both scored from set-pieces as Mikel Arteta’s side showed their clinical edge.
After a dominant first-half performance, United’s defence stood firm. But Arsenal took the lead when Timber directed Declan Rice’s in-swinging ball home in the 54th minute.
Saliba then doubled the lead from another corner to seal three points for the home side.
With league leaders Liverpool dropping points at Newcastle, the chasing pack of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City have closed the gap slightly.
