Arsenal's next five fixtures compared to Manchester City, Man Utd, Newcastle and Tottenham

Arsenal saw their run without a victory stretch to four games at the hands of Premier League title rivals Manchester City after the reigning champions secured a 3-1 victory at Emirates Stadium. The defeat for Mikel Arteta's men knocked them above the top of the league table for the first time this season.

Kevin De Bruyne put the visitors in front capitalising on a mistake from Takehiro Tomiyasu, but Arsenal fought back and equalised from the spot through Bukayo Saka just before half time after Ederson fouled Eddie Nketiah. City came out fighting in the second half though and re-took the lead through Jack Grealish after Gabriel Magalhaes had surrendered possession.

Erling Haaland then sealed the victory with a driven shot from close-range after receiving a pass from De Bruyne. The Gunners therefore remain on 51 points with City now joining them on that tally with a number of teams hoping to crash the title battle.

With that in mind, football.london takes a look at the Gunners' next five fixtures compared to their main rivals this season.

Aston Villa (A) - Premier League - February 18

Arsenal will be hoping to respond immediately to their poor form as they head to Villa Park to take on Aston Villa, led by former manager Unai Emery's. City were able to bypass Villa with relative ease last weekend and the Gunners will be hoping for a similar outcome on Saturday.

Leicester City (A) - Premier League - February 25

Two victories with eight goals scored in their last two Premier League games presents a very different Leicester City than the one that has struggled for points on numerous occasions this season. The Foxes 4-1 victory over Tottenham at the King Power will certainly give Arteta cause for concern especially now James Maddison has returned from injury with Harvey Barnes and Kelechi Iheanacho also in excellent form.

Everton (H) - Premier League - March 1

Just a few weeks after their defeat to Sean Dyche's Everton, Arsenal welcome them to Emirates Stadium for a fixture that was supposed to be played in September.

The Toffees expertly nullified the attacking threat the Gunners posses at Goodison Park and Arteta will be hoping that is not repeated with Everton likely to sit in and try and hit the Gunners on the counter.

Bournemouth (H) - Premier League - March 4

Bournemouth are considered to be the easiest fixture in Arsenal's next run of games but they are not to be taken for granted. The Cherries were unfortunate to not beat Newcastle over the weekend and they could certainly pose a threat to the Gunners if they are underestimated.

Fulham (A) - Premier League - March 12

Arsenal have not lost at Craven Cottage in over a decade but this Fulham team assembled by Marco Silva have proven they are more than capable of competing against the big-hitters.

Arteta's side will have to be on top form to secure a victory as was proven when the Cottagers very nearly came away from Emirates Stadium with all three points, albeit a late second half turnaround from Arsenal saw them snatch the win.
