Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard believes this season’s title race will go right to the wire.
The Gunners continued their unbeaten start when they fought back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Chelsea on Saturday.
Mikel Arteta’s side are now second, level on points with leaders Manchester City and one ahead of Liverpool in third.
But Tottenham have the chance to go top on Monday when they play Fulham.
And Trossard believes the start of this season has shown how this year’s title race will be a close one.
“Obviously there are a lot of teams who have strengthened their squads and it will be a close call at the end,” he said.
“But it is still early on and we need to take it game by game and try to win every game.
“Well done to the boys [against Chelsea] - they never let their heads go down and kept believing. You can see you only need one moment to change a game.
“Declan [Rice] scored a great goal and that got us into the game and believing again and, as you can see, we were still able to take points away.
“At the end if you are 2-0 down then you are happy to take a point away. But we also know that we can do better and need to take that with us to the next game.
“It is always more thinking about things more as a loss. But if you think about it, it is also a gained point if you are 2-0 down at a tough place against a team who is playing well.
“You have to bear that in mind as well. At the end, it is a good point - we just need to do better next time.”
Arsenal had looked dead and buried when they were trailing Chelsea 2-0 with 13 minutes of normal time to play.
But Rice pulled a goal back before Trossard drew them level with an excellent finish from Bukayo Saka’s cross.
“I knew when B put it on his left foot that I had to make the run,” he said. “We spoke about it in training and it was the perfect ball and I knew I had to make contact and it was a great goal.”
Rice was one of Arsenal’s standout performers again on Saturday and Trossard has hailed his impact since his £105million summer move from West Ham.
“Straight away we can see his focus and he wants to help everyone,” he said. “You can see he is a leader and a great guy as well.”
